Gayton le Marsh is a small agricultural based village situated in the Lincolnshire coastal grazing marshes in a remote rural location approximately 4 miles from the coast, 6 miles SE from Louth and 6 miles from Alford.

The parish has benefited since 2016 with proceeds from the Gayton Windfarm Fund. Although there is now no church there is still a consecrated churchyard.

Gayton is one of very few villages in the country situated at the end of its own road.
